FixYourDeck Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 September 2026

FixYourDeck is an iOS app by FixYourAudio s.r.o. that turns an iPhone and a USB audio interface into a measurement bench for cassette decks. This policy describes what the app does with information. The short version: the app collects no personal data, has no accounts, no analytics and no tracking, and never transmits anything anywhere. Everything it measures stays on your device unless you choose to share it.

1. Who is responsible

FixYourAudio s.r.o.
Berlínska 30, 040 13 Košice, Slovakia
Email: info@fixyouraudio.com

2. Data the app collects

None. FixYourDeck does not collect, store on any server, sell or share any personal data. It contains no analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs, requires no account or login, and makes no network connections of its own. The App Store privacy label for FixYourDeck is Data Not Collected.

3. Microphone and audio input

The app asks for microphone (audio input) permission because iOS treats every audio input — including a USB audio interface — as a microphone. The app uses that permission only to capture the signal coming from your cassette deck through the connected interface (or, for the free speed check, a test tone picked up by the built-in microphone) and to analyse it on the device in real time. Audio is processed locally, never transmitted, and never used for any purpose other than the measurement you started.

4. Information stored on your device

To do its job the app keeps the following on your iPhone only, inside the app’s private storage:

  • calibration data and deck profiles you create;
  • measurement results and saved sessions;
  • optional recordings of test-tape passes you analyse (so a measurement can be checked later); these are stored only when you run a tape analysis and can be deleted from within the app;
  • your preferences (units, defaults, appearance).

This information never leaves the device by itself. Deleting the app removes all of it; Settings › About › Reset to defaults clears calibrations and preferences while keeping decks and saved sessions.

5. Exports and sharing

You can export a measurement protocol (PDF, CSV, JSON) or a raw recording (WAV). An export is created only when you tap Share, and it is handed to the iOS share sheet — you decide where it goes (AirDrop, Files, email, another app).

FixYourAudio s.r.o. does not receive a copy.

6. In-app purchase

FixYourDeck Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. FixYourAudio s.r.o. receives no name, email, address or payment details from a purchase; Apple’s own privacy policy governs the transaction. Your entitlement is verified on the device with Apple’s StoreKit framework and can be restored on any device signed in with the same Apple Account.

7. Third parties

The app uses no third-party services. The only third party involved in your use of FixYourDeck is Apple (App Store distribution, purchases, TestFlight).

8. Children

FixYourDeck is a technical tool rated 4+ and is not directed at children. Since the app collects no data at all, no data of children is collected either.

9. Your rights (GDPR)

Because the app processes no personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or erase on your behalf — all your data is already exclusively in your hands, on your device. If you contact us by email for support, we process your email address and the content of your message only to answer you, and keep the correspondence no longer than needed for that purpose. You may ask us to delete it at any time at info@fixyouraudio.com. Use of the fixyouraudio.com website and store is covered by the separate website privacy statement.

10. Changes to this policy

If the app ever changes what it does with data, this page will be updated and the date above revised. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
